Abstract: This paper analyzed the level of awareness of environmental education among science teachers and science students in some selected secondary schools in Minna metropolis Niger state. The design adopted for the purpose of data collection was a simple survey method. Two instruments namely Teachers questionnaire (TO) and Students Questionnaire (SQ) were designed and validated for data collection. Two hundred and fifty (2.50) respondents made up one hundred (100) teachers and one hundred and fifty (150) students from five (5) selected secondary schools were randomly selected for the study. The data obtained were analyzed using statistical package for social science (SPSS) and Frequency Distribution (fr). Mean (x), percentage (%) scores statistics. An alpha level of 0.05 of significant at I degree of freedom was set for data analysis. The finding indicates that teachers are more aware of aware of environmental education than the students. However, the finding shows that the much difference on awareness lies between the science teachers and science students with regardless to sex. Therefore, sex has no effect on awareness of environmental education curriculum in the primary, secondary school and tertiary institutions.
