dc.description.abstractThis research examines Information Technology as an imperative working tool for students and lecturers in Nigerian Universities; Federal University of Technology, Minna was used as the case study. The population of the study is 4,985 while the sample size 427 comprising 357 students and 85 lecturers. Survey research which is descriptive in nature was used for the study. A purposive sampling technique was adopted and questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection and the data were analysed using simple percentage and mean score. The results showed that Internet service is the fastest means of getting up-to-date information resources by students and lecturers in this 21st century. The result also showed a high use of Information Technology by the students and lecturers on daily basis. Finally, the study revealed that majority of the problems working against the full usage of Information Technology in the University can be solved if adequate funds are provided by the government.en_US
