Abstract: The study investigated staff department and training need for high performance in school librarian in Nigeria. The study was guided by three objectives to capture types of training programme area of training need of personnel and abstracted to training in Nigerian library schools. Descriptive survey was used and population consist of staff management schools Liberians sampling technique was used to select 26 schools. Questionnaire was used result show that majority of respondents possess irritant qualification. Attitude of government and instructional authority was the major obstacles.
