Abstract: Problem-based learning (PBL) has been accepted for instruction in many fields of study since it was first introduced in medical field during the 1960’s. However, this innovative teaching and learning approach is yet to be recognized in technical vocational education and training (TVET) teaching and learning in some countries. This paper discusses briefly the concept, effectiveness of PBL approach in teaching and learning in TVET.
