dc.description.abstractABSTRACT This paper examined the traditional methods of savings mobilization in Dunaye District, the uses ta which such fund are put and the constraints associated the methods. The study identified eight methods of savings include Adaci Asus, Tarbacin, Dangi savings through keeping of non-living assets, savings through keeping of living, assets and modern cooperatives Savings mobilied were used for [ farming activities. Trade expansion, purchase of raw foodstuffs, building of houses, ceremonies and payment of school fees Constraints such as improper accounting. Illiterate embezzlement of funds, inadequate facilities, inefficient leadership and lack of legal backing were identified Recommendations were made on how to improve the methods and ensure productive utilization of funds accumulated.en_US
