Abstract: A numerical method is proposed in this paper to directly solve third order boundary value problems that could be coupled with second order boundary value problem(s). The Modified Boundary Value Methods (MBVMs) with continuous coefficients are applied. These are referred to as Block unification multi-step methods (BUMMs) which are derived and used to obtain methods applied through the block unification approach. The computed results are compared with some numerical results to show efficiency and accuracy advantages.
