Abstract: The study to investigate teachers’ perception in the application of student-center method for teaching and learning Radio, Television (RTV) and electronics work trade in Technical Colleges in Niger State. Three objectives were formulated to guide the study and three questions were raised to guide the study. Three hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study adopted descriptive survey design in which questionnaire was used to obtain the opinion of the respondents that are teachers. The study was carried out in Technical College in Niger State. The total population for this study comprise of one thousand two hundred and thirty eight (1238) students and thirty three (33) teachers in Technical colleges in Niger State. The target population of the study is one hundred and twenty (120) respondents. A simple random sampling technique was used to sample hundred (100) students and twenty (20) teachers from five technical college in Niger State. The findings of the study revealed that teachers shows attitude towards the application of student center method in the teaching and learning radio, TV and electronics work trade in Technical colleges. It was also revealed that result revealed the resources needed for implementing students centre methods for teaching and learning RTV in electronics work trade among them are computers, projectors, e-library, Interactive board and Consistent power supply. The study recommends that the Teachers of RTV should show positive attitude towards the implementation of student centre method so as to stimulate and motivate the students. It was also recommended that the school administrators and government should provide adequate and efficient resources for effective implementation of SCM.
