Abstract: This project work based on design and construction of a Solar Lighting System with P. H. C. N. as an alternative power source. It aimed at providing illumination in an area where P. H. C. N. supply is not existing or very erratic. The circuit was designed such that the battery 6v can be charging via solar panel and P. H. C. N. supply. It was also designed in such a way that when the battery is charging, the bulb connected to the output will glow.
