Abstract: The study was determined to assessed “pre-service biology teachers awareness and readiness towards the use virtual learning platforms in Tertiary Institutions of Niger State”. The specific objectives of the study is to assess Pre –service teachers awareness and readiness in the use of virtual learning for teaching and learning biology, Preservice teacher readiness in use of virtual learning for teaching and learning biology and the attitude of pre-service teacher towards the use of virtual learning for teaching and learning biology. The population of this study will comprised of pre-serviced biology teachers from the two tertiary Institution from Both Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai and Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger state. The study concluded that most of the pre-service teachers have low awareness on virtual learning platforms. The study recommended that the pre-service teachers should increase their participation in trainings of virtual learning platforms, the attitude of the pre-service teachers should be positive to virtual learning platform, the pre-service teachers should always be ready to use virtual platforms to teach in the classroom.
