Title: PERCEPTION OF SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS ON UTILIZATION OF MOBILE APPLICATIONS FOR INSTRUCION IN MINNA METROPOLIS.

Abstract: This study examined perception of secondary school teachers on utilization of Mobile applications for instruction in Minna metropolis. The specific purpose of the study was to:(i) Examine the mobile applications teachers utilizes, (ii) Determine secondary school teachers’ perception on utilization of mobile Application for instruction, (iii) Examine the influence of gender on secondary school teachers’ perception on utilization of mobile Application for instruction, and (iv) Determine the influence of experience on secondary school teachers’ perception on utilization of mobile Application for instruction. The descriptive survey method was adopted for the study. The population consisted of all teachers in Minna metropolis. A total of 150 respondents (teachers) were drawn from the population using random sampling technique. The researcher structured questionnaire was used to gather data. The reliability level of the instrument was established through test re-test method using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. A correlation coefficient of .70r was obtained. The instrument was administered by the researcher and two trained research assistants. The data collected were analyzed using both percentage, frequency inferential statistics of chi-square and regression analysis to test the corresponding hypotheses set for the study at 0.05 alpha level of significance. The findings from this study revealed that: Teachers’ perception on the use of mobile App for teaching in Minna metropolis is positive. There is significance difference between teachers’ perception in Various Secondary Schools on the Use of Mobile Application for learning in Minna Metropolis There is no significant difference between experienced and less experienced teachers in their perception on the use of mobile App for teaching
