Abstract: This study assessed of the availability and utilization of computer Basic science and Technology in Junior secondary schools in Minna Metropolis. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design while the study population comprised 5 secondary schools in Minna, Niger State. The sample consisted of two (2) randomly selected secondary schools and fifty (50) teachers drawn randomly from the study population. The instrument used to collect data for the study was a questionnaire titled “Questionnaire on the Availability and Utilization of Computers in Teaching Basic Science and Technology” (QAUCTBST)” while the data collected was analysed using mean and percentage. The findings revealed that computers are available but are not adequately utilized in junior secondary schools in Minna Metropolis. The null hypotheses developed for the study were accepted at 0.05 level of significance. The finding revealed that, there was no significant difference found between the responses of male and female teachers on the utilization of computers by teachers in Junior secondary schools in Minna Metropolis; The study recommended among others that there should be strict adherence to the use of computers in teaching Basic science and technology in Junior secondary schools.
