COMPUTER SOLUTION TO PRODUCTION MODELING IN A MANUFACTURING COMPANY (A CASE STUDY OF NIGERIAN BOTTLING COMPANY, Ilorin)

Abstract

The need to plan production is of utmost importance to the management of any manufacturing outfit . Efforts geared at computerizing analysis that can aid such planning are hence worthwhile . This project is one such effort . This work is a successful attempt at computerizing time series analysis and forecasting of production data . The software , developed in Qbasic , can analyze any monthly time series data and produce forecasts and hence , not restricted to production data alone. The software exploits the highly interactive nature of Qbasic language and is user- friendly .
