COMPUTERISATION OF THE , PROCESS OF COSTING A TDN, llKV & 3~KV TRANSMISSION LINE A CASE STUDY OF NIGER STATE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION BOARD MINNA

Abstract

ABSTRACT It is an established fact that the wind of Information Technology has cut across all fields of endeavour. It therefore becomes a challenge to all departments to look inward with a view to discover how it can benefit from this global phenomenon. This project work is a product of such good thinking, The writer works in an organisation whose primary occupation is to construct electricity transmission line i.e. (11 kv, 33kv, ITC & TON). In such a contractual assignment a lot of paper works are involved, the activities include estimation of project works, tendering, vetting of tender, monitoring of the job, procurement of materials, stock requisition and issuing, and general project monitoring. The Software developed in this project work is intended to be used in a transmission line construction industry with particular reference to Niger State Rural Electricity Board Minna.
