Abstract: ABSTRACT In the past the process of well log interpretation was accomplished through manual interpolation using voluminous trade literatures/chmis and stored the input/output data in filing cabinet within the company's premises. Upon the examination of the problems of existing system used in the past, a system to solve these problems and which introduced computer functionality to the interpretation of petroleum well logs was proposed. This computer - Aided well log interpretation programs is designed to cover the interpretation of Conventional Electric logs (Spontaneous potential logs, short Normal, Long Normal, Lateral logs and micrologs)
