Abstract

This paper highlights the contending issues in the development of library and information science education in Nigeria and outlines the way forward to run library schools for rendering optimal services to information seekers in the society. the paper concludes that library educators should endeavor to be ICT compliant, especially to be in better position to teach the students modern techniques in information searching and retrieval using the fast developing ICT facilities available today.
