All commercial Organizations and government organisation such as factories, warehouses and traders (wholesalers as well as retailers) keep items in stock, either for their own future use or for sale. The factories also stock material for servicing, machines. Material stocked for future consumption or sale constitute inventory. Inventory control therefore is reducing the size and cost of inventory. Is a way of safe guarding against running short of items or materials or inability to meet demand. It involves the cost of storage space, handling and insurance as well as costs associated with product obsolence and deterioration. Scheme for inventory Control require complete information regarding the latest position of stock (inventory) The computerization of NYSC warehouse is therefore taken as a case study because such a big organisation with a big warehouse, compiling the latest inventory information manually becomes a difficult task. The system will ensure improvement in stock control in term of reliability, effectiveness, security and privacy.en_US
