NUMERICAL SXOLUTION OF BOUNDARY - VALUE PROBLEMS

Abstract

This thesis discussed the Numerical Solution of Boundary value problems for ordinary differential equations oc~uring in many branches of mathematics and engineering. The notion and nature of Bounding-value problems constitute the introductory chapter. The finite-difference method, Galerkin and Collocation methods of solving boundary value problems are discussed under the Num9rical methods, chapter three contains a program written in Pascal language for solving a boundary value problem using a finite difference scheme. Various Errors arising in the methods discussed are considered in the last chapter with comparison of results.
