dc.description.abstractThe study investigated preparedness and Attitudes of undergraduate students toward the use of WhatsApp for Biology Instruction in Federal University of Technology Minna. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The population comprised 896 Science Education students of F.U.T. Minna.Purposive sampling was used in the selection of Science Education Department, while random sampling technique was used in the selection of103 Biology Education students (37 males 66 females) from the department. Four research questions and hypotheses were raised to guide the study. Preparedness and attitude towards the use of WhatsApp use fir Biology Instruction questionnaire was used for data collection, which was valid and reliable with Cronbach Alpha coefficient of . 83. Data were analyzed with mean, standard deviation and ANOVA. The results revealed that students were prepared for and have positive Attitudes towards the use of WhatsApp for learning Biology.and no gender effect found on the preparedness and Attitudes. It was recommended that WhatsApp Instruction Strategy should be used for Biology Instruction in both tertiary and secondary learning institutions in Nigeria.en_US
