dc.description.abstractThis research work is to find out the roles of local craftsmen in the use of waste materials to boost technology development in Nigeria, used as case study to local manufacturing center in Minna and Suleja, Niger state. The study is also intended to assist in identifying craftsmen's contribution to national development and the problems hindering there operations. A 39 items was used to collect data on the roles of indigenous technology in National Development and the hindrance of indigenous technology development in Niger State with respect to waste recycling. Four research questions were drawn, one hypothesis was formulated and the statistics tools use for the analysis of the result were mean, standard deviation and l-test. the result among others shows that majority of the craftsmen have no formal education. lack enough spaces in the workshop poor rate of developmenten_US
