dc.description.abstractThe study was carried out to investigate fish farmers' perceptions of climate variabilities and the impacts on fish production in Government Area, Niger State, Structured was used to obtain information from the respondents for which were analyzed using descriptive analysis, and results presented in frequencies and percentages. The Jata was obtained from the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) on temperature, rainfall and wind speed. For conomic characteristics of the fish farmers in the study area showed that, 87% of respondents were males in their married, with 5 to 20years of fish farming experience. The results on the climate in the study area showed variabilities meters over the months and years. The results also showed that, there was reduction in number of rainy days, le rainfall patterns, and increase in temperature and wind speed. Respondents in the study arca perceived climate e rainfall, temperature and wind to have significant effects on fish production. Climate variability is a serious al threat which must be effectively managed for profitable aquaculture productionen_US
