Abstract: This study was designed to identify mechanism for improving the funding of vocational centres and technical colleges in Niger state. Three research question were formulated to guide the study. A30- item questionnaire was developed and use to collect data from 98teacher and 29 administration of vocational/technical colleges in seven education zone of the state. The data analysed using frequency and mean. The study revealed that both administrator and teacher shared similar view on majority of the item. It was therefore recommended among other that (1) multinational, business, organisation and communities should be involve in funding vocational and technical colleges,(2) the 5% of fund realized from value added tax (VAT)be used to finance vocational and technical education, (3)as a matter of urgency technical education should be de-merged from general education.
