The economic productivity of upland rice in Ekiti State is threathened by weaver bird pest infestation. in this work, the outcome of an intensive field survey consisting of ultrasound broadcast was used to generate design considerations for an ultrasound device design to scare besr pest away from rice farms. the device which transmit at 20, 25, 35 and 45 khz has two modes of operation: the auto frequency select and the manual mode. the design which is fortified against habituation when implemented will deter weaver birds from farmsen_US
