Ultrasound pest control devices have hitherto remained an experimental piece in laboratories with its application limited to households and store houses. By this work, Ultrasound weaver bird pests control device have ventures into the field/farms to confront pest in their natural habitat and to appraise the success thereof. The device was first evaluated in the laboratory, section by section for a technical appraisal before being deployed to the field. The field evaluation was carried out in outdoor weaver bird homes and in weaver birds infested farms. The performance comment both for the laboratory and field evaluations are that, the devices’ circuitry meets requirement to generate and transmit high intensity ultrasound in line with design objectives and that the device effectively provide weaver bird pest cover to crops in area measuring three thousand eight hundred and fifty square meters respectively.en_US
