Abstract: The physico-chemical parameters of Agaie-Lapai dam were analyzed weekly for a period of 11 months from January to November, 2012, and five (5) stations were identified for the investigation. The physico-chemical parameters like temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, alkalinity, hardness, conductivity, chloride, transparency, phosphate, biochemical oxygen demand and nitrate were assessed. Results of some of the parameters were recorded on the field and others were taken to the laboratory for analysis. For dissolved oxygen, reagent 1 and reagent 2 were used to fixed the samples on the field before laboratory analysis. There was significant difference in most results obtained whilst there was no significant difference pH regardless of station and weeks. But significant difference were observed in dissolved oxygen, nitrate, temperature, conductivity, hardness, alkalinity, biological oxygen demand. These variation could be due to the influx of organic waste from surface run off and inorganic waste deposited by man. The physiochemical observed indicated that most of them falls with the recommended range or standard by the Federal Ministry of Environment. ( FMENV, 200)
